On December 8, the Caucasus University School of Media hosted a public lecture on "The Art of Public Speaking" for applicants and students interested in public relations and strategic communications.
The event was chaired by Nata Asatiani, Ph.D. in psychology and communication specialist, and moderated by Nino Zhizhilashvili, Dean of Caucasus Media School.
The meeting addressed issues such as:
- How to capture the attention of the audience/listeners?
- Unusual aspects of giving a public speech or presentation;
- Everyone is nervous! - strategies for dealing with nervousness;
- Eye contact, gestures, and the importance of nonverbal communication
The speaker discussed these and other pertinent issues, as well as stories about notable and famous orators with the audience.
The meeting was interactive, and the audience received comprehensive responses to important and interesting issues.
