Meeting with the National Coordinator of the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) in Georgia

10 July 2024

On July 9, the Research Promotion Department of Caucasus University organized a meeting where the academic staff had the opportunity to engage with Natia Gabitashvili, the National Coordinator of the European Cooperation Organization for Science and Technology (COST) in Georgia.

Since 2022, Georgia has been a full member of the European Association for Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST). Through COST Actions, this organization supports the strengthening and expansion of international collaborative ties among researchers on scientific-research topics of common interest by forming research networks.

During the meeting, participants received information about the opportunities available within COST, its implementation mechanisms, current COST Actions, and the new COST actions approved in May 2024. They were provided with detailed information, practical advice, and recommendations on joining existing COST research networks, creating new networks, developing applications, evaluation procedures and criteria, and becoming members of the steering committee/working groups within specific actions.
