Caucasus School of Business Announces a Competition for Academic Positions of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor

Caucasus University’s Caucasus School of Business (CSB) announces a competition for the academic positions of Professor (8 vacancies), Associate Professor (8 vacancies), and Assistant Professor (4 vacancies) in the following fields:

 

Professor

 

  • Management – 2 vacancies
  • Marketing – 2 vacancies
  • Finance – 2 vacancies
  • Business Administration – 2 vacancies

 

Associate Professor

 

  • Management – 2 vacancies
  • Marketing – 2 vacancies
  • Finance – 2 vacancies

Assistant Professor

 

  • Management – 4 vacancies

 

Qualification Requirements

 

A. Professor

 

A person holding a doctoral degree or an equivalent academic qualification in the relevant field may be elected to the position of Professor for a seven-year term, provided that they have at least six years of experience in academic teaching and research.

 

B. Associate Professor

 

A person holding a doctoral degree or an equivalent academic qualification in the relevant field may be elected to the position of Associate Professor for a seven-year term, provided that they have at least three years of experience in academic teaching and research.

 

C. Assistant Professor

 

A person holding a doctoral degree or an equivalent academic qualification in the relevant field may be elected to the position of Assistant Professor for a four-year term.

 

Additional Requirement

 

For teaching on English-language programs, candidates must have English-language proficiency at no lower than B2 level.

 

A qualified individual may also be elected to the position of Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor on the basis of professional qualifications. In such cases, the candidate’s qualifications may be demonstrated through professional experience, specialized training, and/or publications.

 

A person shall be considered appropriately qualified if they possess the competencies necessary to enable students to achieve the learning outcomes specified by the relevant program.

Required Documents

 

Interested applicants must submit the following:

 

  • A CV in Georgian and English, including information on teaching and research activities
  • The syllabus or syllabi of the relevant course or courses in Georgian
  • A copy of an identity document
  • Copies of documents confirming education, qualifications, and academic degree or title, including documents confirming the award of a doctoral, master’s, bachelor’s, or equivalent academic degree
  • In the case of a degree obtained abroad, the documentation required to verify its authenticity
  • A certificate confirming academic teaching and research experience, in accordance with the requirements of the relevant position
  • Full information on articles, books, monographs, and other academic works, including the title of the work, place and date of publication, number of pages, name of the publisher, and copies of the external covers of the publications. For the purposes of the competition, particular importance will be attached to work published during the last five years
  • For teaching on English-language programs, an internationally recognized certificate confirming English-language proficiency

 

English-language proficiency may be confirmed by one of the following:

 

  • A valid internationally recognized certificate confirming English-language proficiency at B2 level or above
  • A document confirming completion of an English-language bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral program within the last three years
  • Citizenship of a country in which English is an official language

 

Competition Stages

 

The competition will be conducted in three stages:

 

Stage I – Review and shortlisting of submitted documents
Stage II – Presentation and interview
Stage III – Final evaluation and conclusion of the competition

  • Competition announcement date: July 21, 2026
  • Application period: August 21–28, 2026, inclusive
  • Competition period: September 2026
  • Location: 1 Paata Saakadze Street, Tbilisi
    In certain cases, depending on the nature of the competition, it may be conducted remotely
  • Publication of competition results: September 2026
