Caucasus School of Humanities and Social Sciences Announces Competition for Academic Positions of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor

The history of Caucasus University dates back to 1998 with the establishment of the Caucasus School of Business.

Caucasus University comprises the Schools of Business, Law, Media, Technology, Architecture and Design, Governance, Humanities and Social Sciences, Tourism, Medicine, Economics, and Education.

 

The Caucasus School of Humanities and Social Sciences (CSH) announces a competition for the following academic positions:

 

Professor (5 vacancies)

 

  • History (2 positions)
  • Psychology (3 positions)

 

Associate Professor (3 vacancies)

 

  • Psychology (3 positions)

 

Assistant Professor (4 vacancies)

 

  • Psychology (4 positions)

 

Qualification Requirements

 

Professor

 

A person holding a doctoral degree or an equivalent academic qualification in the relevant field and having at least 6 years of scientific and teaching experience may be elected as a Professor for a term of 7 years.

 

Associate Professor

 

A person holding a doctoral degree or an equivalent academic qualification in the relevant field and having at least 3 years of scientific and teaching experience may be elected as an Associate Professor for a term of 7 years.

 

Assistant Professor

 

A person holding a doctoral degree or an equivalent academic qualification in the relevant field may be elected as an Assistant Professor for a term of 4 years.

 

Additional Requirement

 

English language proficiency of at least B2 level (for teaching in English-language programs).

 

Qualified professionals may also be elected to the positions of Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor based on professional qualifications. In such cases, qualification may be demonstrated through professional experience, specialized training, and/or publications. A person is considered qualified if they possess the competencies necessary to achieve the learning outcomes specified by the program.

Required Documents

 

Applicants must submit:

 

  • CV in both Georgian and English (including information about teaching and research activities);
  • Course syllabus/syllabi in Georgian;
  • Copy of ID/passport;
  • Copies of educational documents confirming qualifications and academic degrees (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctorate, or equivalent);
  • For degrees obtained abroad, documents required for authenticity verification;
  • Certificate confirming scientific and teaching experience (where applicable);
  • Full information about publications, books, monographs, and other scholarly works, including title, publication venue, date, number of pages, publisher, and copies of covers (special attention will be given to publications from the last five years);
  • For English-language programs, proof of English proficiency (international certificate at B2 level or higher, graduation from an English-language Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral program within the last three years, or citizenship of an English-speaking country).
