CST Announces Competition for Associate Professor and Assistant Professor

The history of Caucasus University begins in 1998, with the creation of the Caucasus School of Business.

 

CU offers students high-level education, international programs, and practice-oriented learning.

Caucasus University consists of schools of business, law, media, technology, architecture and design, governance, humanities and social sciences, tourism, medicine, economics, education.

 

Caucasus University, Caucasus School of Technology (CST) announces a competition for the positions of Associate Professor (2 vacancies) and Assistant Professor (3 vacancies) in the following areas:

 

Associate Professor

  • Logistics; (1 vacancy)
  • Transport logistics. (1 vacancy)

 

Assistant professor

 

  • Logistics; (2 vacancies)
  • Transport logistics. (1 vacancy)



Qualification requirements:

 

For an Associate Professor

 

A person with a doctorate or an equivalent degree in the relevant field with at least 3 years of scientific-pedagogical work will be selected as an associate professor for a term of 7 years.

 

For an Assistant Professor

 

A person with a doctorate or an equivalent academic degree in the relevant field will be selected as an assistant professor for a term of 4 years.

 

 

Additional requirement:

 

  • Proficiency in English at no less than the B2 level is necessary (for English-language programs).
  • Experience in energy efficient transport and green logistics is preferable

 

A qualified individual with a professional mark may be elected to the positions of Professor and Assistant Professor. In this case, professional experience, special training, and/or publications may be used to confirm the person's qualifications. A person with the necessary competence to produce the learning outcomes of the program is considered to have the relevant qualification.

Interested parties should submit:

 

  • Resume in Georgian and English (CV must include information on teaching and research)
  • Syllabus(es) of study course(s) in Georgian;
  • A copy of an identity document;
  • Copies of educational records (certificates and academic degrees) (documents verifying the attainment of a doctoral/master's/bachelor's degree or an equivalent academic degree).
  • Required documentation to verify the legitimacy of an overseas thesis defence;
  • Certificate of scientific-pedagogical activity. (according to position requirements)
  • Comprehensive details on any articles, books, monographs, or other scientific work, including the title, place of publication, date, the number of pages, publisher's name, and copies of the covers. For the competition, publications from the last 5 years are especially relevant.
  • For English-language teaching positions, proof of English proficiency is required. This can be demonstrated by possessing a valid international certificate at the B2 level or higher, and/or a document certifying the completion of a bachelor's/master's/doctorate English-language academic degree within the past 3 years. Alternatively, candidates can be citizens of a country where English is the official language.

 

 

The competition will be held in three stages:

 

Stage I - Sorting of submitted documents;

Stage II - Presentation/Interview;

Stage III - Summary of the competition.

 

  • Date of announcement of the competition: July 15, 2024.
  • Submissions: from August 15, 2024 to August 29, 2024.
  • Competition period: August-September 2024.
  • Venue of the competition: Tbilisi City, Paata Saakadze #1; (in some cases, depending on the specifics of the competition, it is possible to conduct it remotely).
  • Result publication period: September 2024.
