Workshop for Prospective Students - How Young People Choose Professions in Georgia, the Role of Research in Decision Making

On April 6, at 12:00, Caucasus University will host a workshop for entrants on the topic: "How Young People Choose a Profession in Georgia and How Research Helps Us Make the Right Decision."

 

The workshop will be conducted by the head of the Sociology Program of Caucasus University, professor - Flora (Keso) Esebua.

 

Prospective students will get to know the topics covered in the workshop and will have the chance to engage in group activities, ask questions, and discuss important issues with the trainer.

 

Workshop schedule:

 

  • Group work on the topic: How do people choose a profession in Georgia? - Within the framework of this task, the participants will discuss how they choose their profession in general.
  • Focus discussion: How do we choose a profession? - The discussion will specifically concern their choice of profession.
  • Working in a group: taking into account the results of the first group work and discussion, as well as the social and specific research findings, the participants will discuss the main criteria considered during a profession selection process. As a result of the work, the participants will identify the main findings (eg: differences in judging their own and others' choices, discovering the importance of the urban/rural divide, gender or other factors, etc.).

 

Participants will be awarded certificates.
