On 25 September at 3:00 PM, a special anniversary event dedicated to the traditional European Day of Languages will be held at the Caucasus University Library. For 25 years, the Council of Europe member states have celebrated the European Day of Languages every 26 September, promoting linguistic and cultural diversity.

A public interactive lecture titled “Say It Briefly: Transforming Academic Communication in the Age of Social Media” will be delivered by Besik Kutateladze, Full Professor at Florida State University.

The event will explore the following topics: the European Day of Languages; language as a tool for achieving justice; making academic knowledge accessible to the internet generation; artificial intelligence as an opportunity to enhance research; and rethinking the role of education in effectively addressing contemporary challenges. The topics will also be followed by a discussion.

The event will be moderated by Mariam Manjgaladze, Professor at Caucasus University, and Irakli Shamatava, Associate Professor at Caucasus University.
