On November 20, the Child Rights Center of Caucasus University, with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Georgia, will hold its Fourth International Conference on the theme “Children’s Rights in a Democratic Society – Challenges and Prospects.”
The conference will bring together multidisciplinary presentations addressing the protection of children’s rights in various areas of public life, including the justice system from the perspectives of criminal, civil, and administrative law. Particular attention will be given to access to justice as an essential prerequisite and safeguard for the protection and realization of children’s rights.
The conference will bring together Georgian and international professors and experts, judges, prosecutors and lawyers, representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations, practicing psychologists, social workers and legal professionals from various institutions, international organizations working in the field of children’s rights, and students. Attendance is free of charge.
Caucasus University invites interested individuals to submit abstracts and deliver presentations or papers at the conference. Abstracts must address the conference theme, “Children’s Rights in a Democratic Society – Challenges and Prospects,” and must not exceed 250 words.
Applicants should submit a CV with a photograph and an abstract no later than 6:00 p.m. on September 20, 2026, to research@cu.edu.ge.
The subject line of the email must read: “Fourth International Conference of the Child Rights Center.”
Applicants will be notified of the final decision regarding their participation by October 1, 2026.
The deadline for submitting final papers or presentations is October 30, 2026. Materials should be sent to research@cu.edu.ge.
The final conference agenda will be distributed to participants no later than November 10, 2026.
