Future Lawyers for Children's Rights

15 February 2025

On February 15 at 10:00, the Caucasus University Child Rights Center will host a fun quiz on children's rights for 11th and 12th-grade students. The event will take place in the Caucasus University courtroom and will feature short questions presented in both electronic and physical formats.

The quiz will be led by Judge Levan Darbaidze, a research associate at the Caucasus University Child Rights Center, Professor at Caucasus University, and Doctor of Law.

The goal of this activity is to promote children's rights and raise awareness of this important issue in society, particularly among young people. Students will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge about children's rights in a fun and interactive way, fostering their interest and motivation to study the topic more thoroughly. This, in turn, will contribute to the broader popularization of children's rights among the new generation.

Topics to be Discussed:

  • Understanding the role of the child within the legal framework
  • Fundamental rights of the child
  • Core values established in the Convention on the Rights of the Child
  • Children in conflict with the law
  • The impact of transitional age on juvenile delinquency
  • Perspectives on legality and justice from a child’s viewpoint
  • The court system through the eyes of children

Participants will receive certificates of participation.
