The creative admission round for the Bachelor’s Program in Graphic Design at Caucasus University consists of three stages:
- Registration
- Electronic submission of artworks
- Interview
Applicants must complete online registration and submit a photograph or electronic version of an independently created artwork to the following email address: CSA@cu.edu.ge
Applicants are required to prepare an artwork on the theme: “Art as a Means of Communication.”
Art has always been a language that transcends words. For this assignment, applicants are free to communicate and interpret the idea creatively: how can a personal vision, feeling, or concept be transformed into a visual form so that the artwork itself becomes a powerful medium of communication?
Applicants may use any visual format-drawing, sketch, poster, illustration, animation, or digital design-to create a work that not only demonstrates creative ability, but also communicates a clear idea or message. Art is a language with the power to inspire, awaken, and connect people, and each submitted work may become precisely such a voice.
During the interview, applicants will present their artwork and discuss it with the commission in order to confirm its authenticity. The commission may also require applicants to complete an additional task on site, using the resources available at the interview location.
Please note that artworks completed as a group and/or with the assistance of others will not be considered or evaluated.
Registration deadline: May 15
Artwork submission period: May 15 – May 30
The exact date and time of the interview will be communicated to each applicant individually.
Assessment in the creative round is based on a 100-point system.
Submitted artworks will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
- Creativity
- Concept
- Relevance to the assignment theme
- Artistic and aesthetic execution
- Presentation skills
- Motivation
If the competition commission detects plagiarism or identifies evidence that the artwork was created with another person’s assistance, the applicant will receive 0 points.
The final score will be calculated as the arithmetic mean of the evaluations assigned by the commission members.
The creative competition is considered successfully passed if the applicant scores above the minimum competency threshold of 33 points.
