Scientific-research conference of students Language, Culture and Society – LCS

 

 

Bachelor's and master's students at Caucasus University who wish to enhance their research skills and prepare for the successful defense of their bachelor's thesis are invited to participate in the upcoming scientific conference titled "Language, Culture, and Society."

 

The topics provided by us offer an opportunity for representatives of different schools who find the topic of the conference interesting and wish to deepen their understanding to become a young, successful researcher.

 

The purpose of the conference is:

 

  • To encourage students to engage in scientific research activities;
  • Develop independent research skills;
  • To acquire the ability to prepare and present a report for a scientific conference.

Conference date:

 

The student scientific conference will be held on March 30, 2024, in the Grenoble auditorium of Caucasus University (C9). The event will start at 12:00.

 

Regulation:

 

10 minutes for the report; Questions/discussion/recommendation - 5 minutes.

 

Conference format:

 

  • The thesis of the report (150-200 words) should be presented in Georgian and sent to the following email address: research@cu.edu.ge; Please indicate the name of the conference - Language, Culture, Society - in the subject field.
  • Font: Sylfaen, size: 11, spacing - 1.5; Areas: Margins: Normal. The titles of the constituent parts of the paper should be written in bold font; Font size: 12.

 

Deadline for submission of theses: 15.03.2024

Notification in regards to participation in the conference: 18.03.2024

 

Important information:

 

  • Both individual and co-authored theses (with no more than 2 authors) are eligible for submission.
  • The work should be in a presentation format.
  • A scientific supervisor from Caucasus University, either affiliated or invited academic staff, is required for student papers.
  • Abstracts will undergo a confidential peer review process by experts, with a maximum of 10 reports selected based on specific criteria. Academic integrity will be assessed.
  • All applicants will receive a well-reasoned response from the conference's organizational and scientific committee regarding their participation.
  • The report format must adhere to Caucasus University academic integrity standards. Sources should be appropriately cited following the AFA style guidelines.

 

Certificates will be awarded to the participants of the student scientific conference.
