We are proud to share that BioNova, a beneficiary of  Caucasus University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center and the winner of the 3rd batch of Startup Pre-acceleration Program CUnicorn, has won the Eco-Innovation Challenge and secured a $100,000 grant!

The competition brought together some of the most promising startups from 40 countries around the world. After successfully advancing through several intensive selection stages, bootcamps, and highly competitive elimination rounds, BioNova emerged as the winner at the live Shark Tank-style final held in Chisinau, Moldova.

The Eco-Innovation Challenge is implemented within the framework of the Blueing the Black Sea Program and is supported by leading international organizations, including the World Bank, UNOPS, the Global Environment Facility (GEF), and Civitta.

The grant will support BioNova in further developing and deploying its innovative technology, contributing to the advancement of circular agriculture and climate innovation.

Notably, this is not BioNova’s first international recognition. The startup previously participated in the Greennovation Acceleration Programme, implemented with the support of UNDP Georgia, the Embassy of Denmark in Georgia, and PMCG. Among more than 50 participants, BioNova was awarded a $25,000 prize for its innovative solution focused on converting agricultural and organic waste into clean biogas and biofertilizer.

Even more impressively, throughout 2025- 2026, BioNova has secured a total of $180,000 in funding through various international programs and competitions, demonstrating the strong potential of its technology and growing international recognition.

Congratulations to the BioNova team on these remarkable achievements, and we wish them continued success on the global stage!
