We are pleased to announce that applications for the European Forum Alpbach (EFA) Scholarship Program are now open. The European Forum Alpbach is held annually in Alpbach, Austria.
This prestigious event brings together young professionals, scholars, politicians and leaders to engage in interdisciplinary discussions on the most pressing issues in Europe.
Event Dates: 24 August – 4 September 2026
The EFA Fellowship Programme offers an excellent opportunity to:
- Participate in interactive workshops led by leading experts
- Attend high-level conferences with world leaders
- Participate in cultural events and networking sessions
- Join a diverse international community of change-makers
Thematic Focus:
This year’s theme of the Forum is “How Europe Wins” which looks at four key areas that affect our future:
- Democracy and the rule of law
- Security
- Climate
- Finance and the economy
The scholarship includes: participation fee and accommodation costs.
When filling out the application, it is possible to request additional support (food, transportation, special needs, etc.). The allocation of such support is subject to the availability of appropriate financial resources.
Who can participate?
Young people between the ages of 18 and 30 who have a minimum B2 level of English and are able to physically attend the full program of the forum.
Application submission procedure:
Applications will be accepted until March 22, 2026 on the Alpbach European Forum online portal. At the same link you will find detailed information about the program, including the criteria for participation and a list of required documents.
