Expanded Summer School 2026, Austria

We are pleased to inform you that the School of Informatics, Communications and Media of the Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences, Austria, is announcing students' acceptance to the Expanded Summer School 2026.

 

Program Dates: August 8-13, 2026

Location:Hagenberg/ Linz

 

The Expanded Summer School 2026 with the central theme “Play to Research” will commence with a full-day workshop in Hagenberg, before transitioning to Linz for the Expanded Conference and Ars Electronica Festival activities. This structure is designed to provide both focused skill development and broad exposure to the cutting edge of digital and interactive art.

 

This program is intended for students with an interest in games, particularly in game development. Ideally, applicants are already familiar with the basics of game development, but this is not a strict requirement. 

 

A central element of the Summer School is a dedicated mentoring slot in which participants meet with experienced developers from the local games industry to exchange ideas, receive feedback on their own work, and gain insights into game design practice.

 

Interested students must participate in the internal university selection competition of Caucasus University and submit the following documents electronically in English to the following email address: ir@cu.edu.ge.

 

  • Proof of English language proficiency at a minimum B2 level (Room A2);
  • Transcript of records with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (Room A2);
  • Copy of international passport;
  • CV/Resume in English;
  • Motivation letter

 

Deadline for submitting documents: June 11, 2026.
