Jean Monnet Summer School & International Simulation of Biodiversity COP17

Eurasia International University, Armenia, is pleased to announce the call for applications for the Jean Monnet Summer School and the COP17 International Biodiversity Simulation Program.

 

The program brings together European Union studies, biodiversity management, human rights, peace and sustainability studies, sustainable governance, and the interface between science and policy.

 

The following courses are offered within the framework of the program:

 

  • Jean Monnet Summer School: “The EU Green Deal in a Global Context: Geopolitics, Cooperation and Development”, 27 July - 7 August, 2026. This program is integrated with a youth simulation.
  • COP17 International Youth Simulation on Biodiversity: 5-7 August, 2026.

 

6 ECTS credits will be awarded within the program: 4 ECTS for the summer school and 2 ECTS for simulation activities.

 

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in simulation activities and take on the roles of country delegates, scientists, civil society representatives, media observers and environmental advocates. 

 

During the program, participants will gain practical experience in multilateral negotiations, policy development, coalition building and crisis response simulation scenarios.

 

Participation in the program is open to students, doctoral candidates, young professionals, researchers, civil society representatives, environmental specialists, journalists, and all interested individuals. Participation by persons with disabilities is encouraged, and appropriate support and adapted conditions will be provided where necessary.

Participation in the program is free of charge. The organizers also provide a limited number of

accommodation places for international participants.

Within the framework of the program, ECTS credits may be recognized. Please note that credits will only be recognized if a programmatic correspondence between the courses offered and the subjects available at Caucasus University is established. If selected for the program, please complete the programmatic correspondence section with the school administration prior to departure.
