Meeting of Georgian Youth’s Representative in UNESCO

11 January

He spoke about the importance of the mandate and emphasized that it is a part of the national program and envisages attending the Youth Forum in Paris, in UNESCO Headquarters from October 26-28, 2015. The decisions reached at the Forum will be presented to the UNESCO conference, which in its turn is a highest decision-making body of the Organization. The delegates of the member states will also participate in COP21 (Conference on Climate).

The conference will highlight the issues related to climate change and sustainable development in 2015.

We'd like to remind you that each national commission is entitled to send at least one youth with a delegation every two years; the selection process should be transparent and competitive as it is set forth in the criteria stipulated by the Secretariat; the transparency and competitiveness allow each individual youth to participate in the program.

The program in Georgia is implemented by the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs and National UNESCO Commission of the Ministry on International Affairs.
