On July 17, the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP) held a meeting at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

The event was hosted by Ignacio Sánchez Díaz, President of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and attended by members of the IAUP Governing Board and higher education leaders from Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa, and the USA.

Within the framework of the visit, 2 sessions were held for presidents and vice-presidents of higher educational institutions:

• A session for presidents, focused on the challenges of leadership in higher education institutions. Kakha Shengelia, President of Caucasus University and Chairman of the IAUP Governing Board, participated in this discussion.
• A panel discussion of the vice-presidents, dedicated to strategic approaches and best practices of internationalization. Irena Melua, Vice-President of Caucasus University for Internationalization, took part in this session.

Within the framework of the meeting, Kakha Shengelia also chaired a management board meeting where members reviewed the organization's current activities, discussed the budget, voted on admitting new members to the network, and planned activities for the current year, including the October China conference. This conference will feature the transfer of the presidential administration to the new IAUP president. Additionally, a hybrid-format meeting of IAUP executive committee members was held.
