An online seminar for teachers from the region was organized by the Information Center on NATO and the European Union at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

The meeting was chaired by experts from the Erasmus + Jean Monnet Project of the European Learning Triangle (TEESS) at Caucasus University: Doctor of History, Associate Professor of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Trainer on European Integration Guranda Chelidze; Doctor of Law, Associate Professor at the Caucasus University School of Law, author and coordinator of the Jean Monnet Discover Europe in the Association Agreement (EUEAA) module, Ekaterine Kardava and Doctor of History, Professor at the Caucasus University School of Humanities and Social Sciences Zurab Bragvadze.

The speakers discussed the idea of creating the European Union, its goals, objectives and European values. Talks also focused on Georgia's relations with the EU, EU assistance projects, commitments under the Association Agreement, existing tangible benefits and future prospects. The importance and protection of Georgia's cultural heritage in the context of European integration was emphasized.

The teachers also had the opportunity to get acquainted with the supporting textbook "European Association Process in Georgia", the authors of which are the speakers of the meeting.

The meeting, which was attended by about 80 teachers, was moderated by Irina Shamiladze, Deputy Director of the Information Center on NATO and the European Union, and focused on the Center's activities and ongoing projects.

The seminar was part of the US Department of State-sponsored project "Raising Awareness and Involvement in the Regions of Georgia", which is implemented by the Information Center on NATO and the European Union in cooperation with the US Embassy in Georgia.
