From September 26 to 28, the Caucasus University Jean Monnet Center of Excellence for EU Policy Transposition (EUPOLTRANS) conducted an intensive, high-level training course on “EU Policy Transposition in Georgia” in Kutaisi.

The training course was attended by selected applicants, including students, university administration and academic staff, as well as representatives from media and civil society.

The course was opened by the project coordinator, who spoke about the institutions and policies of the European Union, as well as the modern dynamics of Georgia-EU relations. Project experts covered Georgia's convergence with EU legislation in areas such as labor law, environmental protection, consumer rights, competition policy, public administration, and foreign and security policy.

Despite the busy agenda, the training course was very interactive, with high audience engagement. According to evaluations from both the host party and the participants, the content of the course was information-rich and focused on news and analysis, which will significantly contribute to their professional and research interests.

At the end of the course, participants were awarded certificates from Caucasus University.
