Caucasus University Joins Georgian-French University Consortium

22 May 2025

Caucasus University, as the only private higher education institution from Georgia, has officially joined the Georgian-French University Consortium. This marks another significant step in strengthening the university's internationalization process and its positioning within the European educational space.

The consortium membership agreement was signed by the President of Caucasus University, Kakha Shengelia. The agreement envisages the development of cooperation with French higher education institutions that are members of the consortium, including: University of Rennes, National Institute of Applied Sciences of Rennes, Sciences Po Rennes, School of Advanced Studies in Public Health, Lumière University Lyon 2, Clermont Auvergne University.

It is noteworthy that the Georgian-French University is one of the most extensive projects aimed at promoting the development of joint programs between French and Georgian educational institutions and strengthening internationalization. Caucasus University, as the only private university, has exclusively joined the consortium, being an institution with a long-standing history of strategic cooperation with France.

For over 20 years, Caucasus University has been actively collaborating with leading French universities and organizations in the direction of exchange and joint programs, as well as within the framework of Erasmus+ programs. This contributes to the university's internationalization process and provides students with the opportunity to gain international experience, develop professional and academic skills, and expand their global network.
