Fifth Persian Language Training Certificate Award Ceremony

On May 9, Caucasus University hosted the fifth Persian Language Training Certificate Award Ceremony, which honored Iranian listeners and students.

 

Prior to the event, Dr. Kakha Shengelia - President of Caucasus University hosted Massoud Arabi - Director of RAQ GROUP; Ahmad Ali Mehri Ardestani - Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran; Morteza Tahami Pour Zarandi and Kodratolah Taher, representatives of Shahid Beheshti University.

 

The meeting was also attended by Maia Mushkudiani, Sales Manager of the Training Center, Shota Nizharadze, Dean of Caucasus School of Technology, and Amin Nageliani, Assistant to the President for International Relations.

 

During the visit, the parties talked and discussed the details of cooperation between universities in both educational and scientific fields.

 

Speakers at the event were: Dr. Kakha Shengelia - President of Caucasus University; Mohammad Ghobadi Rad - Acting Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Georgia; Morteza Tahami Pour Zarandi - Shahid Beheshti University, School of Economics and Politics Research Deputy; Massoud Arabi - Director of RAQ GROUP; Nata Davitashvili - Deputy Head of the Georgian Language Division of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia; Ahmad Ali Mehri Ardestani - Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran; Nikoloz Nakhutsrishvili - Former Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of Georgia, Head of the Department of Persian Philology at Ilia State University, Researcher; Kodratolah Taher - Head of the Persian Language Department at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literature, Shahid Beheshti University.

 

During the event, the speakers greeted the audience, and made presentations and talked about Georgian-Persian cooperation. The audience also listened to traditional Iranian songs.

 

The moderators of the event were: Amin Nageliani, Assistant to the President for International Relations and Orientalist, Iranist Mariam Chanturia.

 

Persian language trainings at Caucasus University started in 2019 and the fifth award ceremony was held within the framework of these trainings.

 

At the end of the event, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Caucasus University and Arman Abi Qeshm (AAQ). The memorandum was signed by Dr. Kakha Shengelia, President of Caucasus University, Buba Lezhava, Vice President of Caucasus University, and Vahidreza Mirab, Executive Director of Arman Abi Qeshm (AAQ). The memorandum envisages the implementation of joint projects in the future, as well as attracting degree-seeking students from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the educational programs of Caucasus University.
