Representatives of the CSB Research Center at Caucasus University participated in the 47th Annual Congress of the European Accounting Association (EAA), held from May 28 to 30, 2025, at Luiss Guido Carli University in Rome, Italy.
The EAA is one of the most prominent academic communities in the field of accounting and finance in Europe. This year’s congress brought together 1,649 scholars from 56 countries. A total of 1,015 research papers were presented, each selected through a rigorous double-blind peer review process.
Georgia was represented by two CSB professors, Prof. Erekle Pirveli and Prof. Vakhtang Partsvaniya, who presented their co-authored paper (with Prof. Timur Uman of Jönköping University), titled “Russia’s Strategic Foreign Ownership and Corporate Sustainability Disclosure in Georgia” at the Social, Environmental and Ethical (SEE) Panel Session. The professors actively contributed to discussions on global developments in accounting, finance, corporate governance, and sustainability. The research paper presented at the congress is currently under peer review at the Journal of Accounting in Emerging Economies (Scopus Q1).
Participation in this major conference was made possible through the financial support of Caucasus University. This research project is financially supported by the Basic Research Grant 2023 from the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation.
