Irakli Shamatava, Affiliated Associate Professor at Caucasus University, Editor-in-Chief of a scholarly journal, and Ph.D. in Law, has authored an article titled “The Role of the Writ of Execution Issued by a Notary in Preventive Justice and Effective Enforcement,” which has been published in the international refereed and peer-reviewed scholarly journal Law and World. The article appears in the journal’s 2026 issue, Law and World, 12(38), pp. 99–127.

Law and World has been published since 2015 and is an international refereed and peer-reviewed scholarly journal. The journal is indexed in and represented across DOAJ, HeinOnline, ERIH PLUS, EBSCO, and other international scientific databases.

The study examines the legal nature of the writ of execution issued by a notary, its functional purpose, and its connection with preventive justice. The article analyzes Georgian legislation, judicial practice, and the legal experience of Germany, France, and Spain.

The research topic is linked to the author’s academic activity within the Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility Programme. On 20–24 April 2026, Irakli Shamatava visited the Faculty of Law and Economics at Kazimierz Wielki University in Poland, where he delivered lectures on “General Overview of the Functions of the Notarial System in Europe (Comparative Analysis).” The published article represents a thematic continuation of the issues discussed during the academic visit and lectures.

According to the study, a notarized agreement and the writ of execution issued on its basis contribute to reducing the caseload of courts, ensuring the prompt satisfaction of creditors’ claims, and strengthening the stability of legal relations.
