Caucasus University students were on a study tour to Athens and the Peloponnese Peninsula.
During the tour, the students visited various landmarks, cultural and historical monuments of Greece, namely: Corinth Canal, Mycenae, Epidaurus, Bourtzi Fortress, Ancient Olympia, Palamidi Fortress, Acrocorinth, Acropolis, Olympic Stadium, Hadrian's Arch, Anafiotika, Monastiraki, Plaka, Psiri, Athens Archaeological Museum, Cape Sounion, Temple of Poseidon. They learned about the history and mythology of Greece.
The CU study tour was led by Hellenist and translator Tatia Mtvarelidze.
In addition to the above, the students visited the Georgian Institute at Athens and the Cultural Center “Caucasus”, founded by Avtandil Mikaberidze, the distinguished Georgian Hellenist and Honorary Doctor of Caucasus University. Caucasus University President Kakha Shengelia presented him with commemorative gifts.
Within the framework of the meeting, Caucasus University President Kakha Shengelia introduced the audience to the future plans of the university. Additionally, Meri Khvichia, Head of the Student and Organizational Events Service of CU, conducted an informational session about Caucasus University.
