The second day of the conference "International Association of University Presidents" (IAUP) is underway in Hofburg Palace, Vienna. Today's central topics are: CHALLENGES FOR THE EUROPEAN SCIENTIFIC LANDSCAPE; SIMULATION, VIRTUAL & AUGUMENTED REALITY FOR EDUCATION & TRAINING; SIMULATION-BASED LEARNING AND TRAINING. In the afternoon the panel discussions will be held on the new trends in universities, patterns of universities of future and cooperation between universities and industries.  

The Rectors of Georgian Higher Education Institutions are introducing the Georgian Universities on the international arena in the space specially allocated within the framework of "Learning in Georgia" program. The conference is a large-scale event attended by about 400 University Presidents from around the world.

The second day will conclude with a reception in Hofburg Palace – “Georgian Evening”, which will be attended by the Conference participants and representatives of Georgian and Austrian governments. The attending audience will be addressed by the Prime-minister of Georgia, the Minister of Education and Science, Mr. Alexandre Jejelava.
