On May 15-16, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences hosted a conference organized by the National Institute of Global Strategy (NIGS) and Chinese Academy of Social Sciences on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations. The conference opened by the President of China - Xi Jinpin was attended by Caucasus University and IAUP President, Dr. Kakha Shengelia.

The topic of the conference was ‘Mutual Learning among Asian Civilizations and Building a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind’. Its aim is to strengthen the exchange of ideas among scholars of Asian countries, promote mutual learning among Asian Civilizations and explore the path towards a community with a shared future for mankind.

President of Caucasus University and the International Association of University Presidents, Dr. Kahka Shengelia was one of the keynote speakers; his speech was about ‘Connotation and Evolution of Asian Civilizations’.

This large and important event was attended by more than 2000 delegates from 47 countries, UNESCO representatives, and heads of international and educational organizations.
