On March 17-21, Caucasus University hosted the International Staff Week Program, where over 20 academic and administrative staff members from 15 European partner universities participated.
Participants of the program were provided with comprehensive information regarding the university's mission, internationalization policy, and international relations, as well as the activities of the university's services and departments.
Representatives of partner universities had the opportunity to participate in interactive sessions on the following key topics:
- Methodologies for Initiating and Implementing Joint/Double Degree Programs – Irena Melua, Vice-President for Internationalization of Caucasus University.
- Sharing Best Practices in International Projects – Akaki Kapanadze, Director of the Project Management Department, and Maksim Iavich, Professor at the Caucasus School of Technologies.
- International Accreditations – Irma Grdzelidze, Head of the International Accreditation Service.
- Research on Exploring Sustainable Environment & Workshop on the Strategy for Introducing Ecological Alternatives in the University Environment – Tamar Karbaia, Affiliated Assistant Professor, Caucasus School of Business.
- Sharing Best Practices of the “CU Ambassador” Program – Mariam Baramidze, Manager of the Student and Organizational Events Department.
It is worth noting that, during the week, lectures and masterclasses were held for professors from the participating universities at relevant faculties of Caucasus University. Meetings for administrative personnel were also scheduled with the appropriate schools and departments. Foreign lecturers were hosted by the Schools of Public Administration and Humanities and Social Sciences, while administrative personnel were hosted by the Schools of Medicine, Technology, and Humanities and Social Sciences, as well as the Departments of Monitoring and Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Furthermore, an educational fair was organized with the involvement of the colleagues from the partner Universities. Participants of the staff week had the possibility to present their home Universities and programs to Georgian and International Students, as well as the country and culture.
At the end of the International Week program, certificates of participation were awarded to the attending professors and administrative staff.
