A national workshop was held in Telavi on 23-24 June as a part of the EU-funded project "Responsible Conduct of Research – Research Integrity and Ethics in Georgian Universities (ETHICS)", attended by participants from various Georgian universities, including representatives from Caucasus University: Director of the Quality Assurance Department Diana Mchedlishvili, Manager of the Research Support Department Nino Makhauri, and Head of the Academic Writing Center Tamar Chokoraia.
The two-day workshop aimed to encourage the sharing of experiences and strengthen collaboration between the participating Georgian universities. Nino Makhauri presented the Research Ethics Policy document of Caucasus University, as well as its Research Ethics Committees' structure and operational principles. Diana Mchedlishvili introduced the university's existing ethics-related documents and regulations. Tamar Chokoraia participated in the working group on developing academic and research integrity support services, presenting the university’s current offerings in this area.
Briefly about the project
The main goal of the project is to improve existing mechanisms, procedures and services in the direction of research ethics and integrity at the university level.
