Caucasus University President and Delegation Visit Fereydunshahr, Iran

Caucasus University President Kakha Shengelia and his delegation visited Fereydunshahr, Iran.

 

The Governor of Fereydunshahr and local government officials held an official meeting with the CU delegation. Local leaders warmly welcomed the visit and expressed their gratitude to the university representatives for coming to the city.

 

The delegation also visited Payam Nur University in Fereydunshahr, where they met with the university administration. CU President Kakha Shengelia addressed the audience, expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome of the Georgian community in Fereydunshahr and expressed his readiness to deepen scientific and cultural cooperation. He noted that several Fereydan Georgians are currently studying at Caucasus University for free and emphasized the university’s readiness to welcome more students in the future.

 

After the meeting, a special session was held, in which the heads of Payam Nur University, the director of international relations, regional leaders as well as representatives of Caucasus University participated. After the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the parties.

 

At the end of the visit, the delegation visited the Fereydunshahr Museum, where a meeting was held with the local population. Georgian musical groups performed traditional Fereydan songs. At the end of the meeting, Kakha Shengelia planted a Georgian oak tree as a symbol of peace and friendship.
