Presentation of CU President Kakha Shengelia’s Book “History of Georgia” in Iran

The National Archives and Library of Iran organized the official presentation of the book “History of Georgia” by CU President Kakha Shengelia, which was translated into Persian.

 

The presentation was opened by Dr. Gholamreza Amirkhani, Head of the National Archives and Library of Iran, who welcomed the attendees, highlighted the importance of the publication, and expressed readiness to further deepen cultural and academic ties between the two countries.

 

The book was translated into Persian by Mr. Hossein Mikelani, who made a special contribution to better familiarizing the Iranian reader with the history of Georgia.

 

The event was attended by representatives of academic and cultural institutions, historians, and members of the diplomatic corps.

CU President Kakha Shengelia addressed the audience, expressing his gratitude to the translator and the Iranian hosts for their support and collaboration. According to him, the translation of the book will contribute to fostering deeper cultural and educational connections between Georgia and Iran.

At the end of the event, the President of CU signed special copies of the book and once again emphasized the importance of historical heritage in the context of bilateral relations.

Following the official presentation, the Georgian-speaking community in Iran hosted a celebratory gathering and book signing with the participation of Georgians living in Tehran. The evening was held in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere, and concluded with the symbolic cutting of a celebratory cake, honoring Georgian tradition.
