CU troupe performance "Welcome to Georgia"

On April 9 and 10, the performance of "CU Troupe" - "Welcome to Georgia" - was held in the conference hall of Caucasus University.

 

The performance was attended by the President of Caucasus University Dr. Kakha Shengelia, members of the administration, students and other interested parties.

 

The play is based on the story of Tennessee Williams' play - "A Streetcar Named Desire" - adapted by the creative team of CU Troupe. Musical variations of Georges Bizet's "Carmen" were also used in the play.

The play is directed by Vato Jugheli, scenography and costumes - Khatia Davitashvili, technical group - Giorgi Gachechiladze.

 

"CU Troupe" was established in 2010 on the basis of Caucasus School of Governance, at the initiative of the Dean of the same school, Mzia Mikeladze. This is a theatrical team composed of students from Caucasus University and operating in the university space, which has received many awards within the framework of the international festival - "Mask”.

 

Today, "CU Troupe" already unites all the schools of the university and all levels of education, which actively continues to implement various cultural events.
