Erasmus+ project "VIRTUALLYEDU - Virtual Mobility and Education on Digital Skills" Trainer workshop

On May 1, within the framework of the Erasmus+ project – “VIRTUALLYEDU - Virtual Mobility and Education on Digital Skills” a trainer's workshop was held, attended by the Head of the Caucasus University Cybersecurity Center, Maxim Iavich, as well as the academic staff of the School of Technology - Giorgi Akhalaia, Keti Grdzelidze, Irakli Pirtskhalava and Sergei Simonov.

 

The project – “VIRTUALLYEDU - Virtual Exchanges and Education on Digital Skills” is in  two stages. The first stage envisages the training of facilitators, academic staff of universities with these workshops  and at the second stage, the facilitators will share the knowledge with students from different countries within the framework of virtual mobility and provide new teaching and learning approaches considering international students’ experience within the framework of the project

 

During the training, the participants got acquainted with the project objectives and planned activities in detail, got theoretical knowledge and practical advice in the field of cybersecurity and digitalization training, talked about teaching methodology and relevant approaches to improve digital skills.

 

project aims to connect young people from Europe and the Eastern Neighbourhood regions with higher education students, faculty members, and academic staff through various online activities, which will promote enhancing digital skills, supporting employability and strengthening youth network between EU and Eastern Neighbourhood countries.

 

In addition to Caucasus University, 8 partner higher and youth organizations are involved in the project, including from Greece, Sweden, Georgia and Eastern neighbourhood countries.
