Erasmus+ Talks event at Caucasus University

On 14th of October, the Department of International Relations hosted the event "Erasmus+ Talks" at Caucasus University which was held as part of Erasmus+ Days (#ErasmusDays2024).

 

The event consisted of several sessions. At first, the representatives of the department introduced the Caucasus University internationalization policy and ongoing processes to the attending students. Also, then they received information about Erasmus+, which is one of the most important educational programs not only for the university, but also for the process of internationalization of the education system of Georgia.

 

The second session of the event was dedicated to the speeches of the students of Caucasus University, who have already benefited from an Erasmus+ grant and spent an exchange semester in leading universities in Europe. Their speeches were about importance of international mobility for personal and professional development.

 

Speakers of the Erasmus+ Talk session:

  • Lizi Talakhadze- (Caucasus Business School) ,,Dear Erasmus, you had me at "Hello" - Inholland university of applied sciences, Kingdom of Netherlands;
  • Lizi Gelashvili- (Caucasus Business School) – “Wandering and Wonder: A Semester of Self-Discovery in Darmstadt, Germany" - Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, Germany;
  • Keti Gogatishvili- (Caucasus Business School)- "How Erasmus changed my life forever" - Rennes School of Business, France;
  • Barbara Kopaleishvili - (Caucasus Business School) - "Stepping Out of My Comfort Zone: How Erasmus Changed Me" - Inholland university of applied sciences, Kingdom of Netherlands;
  • Levan Popiashvili- (Caucasus Business School)- "What does the feeling of true gratitude looks like?" - Rennes School of Business, France;
  • Nino Metreveli- (Caucasus Business School)- “Erasmus+: My Journey of Self-Discovery and Global Perspective" - Inholland University of Applied Sciences, Kingdom of the Netherlands;
  • Lizi Megrelishvili (Caucasus School of Architecture and Design) – “From Local to Global: The real role of Erasmus" - University of Alcala, Spain.

 

During the event, a quiz was held to encourage student interaction. Students answered the questions through the online platform regarding internationalization processes and Erasmus+ programs. 3 winners were announced and received souvenirs from Caucasus University were given.

 

At the end of the event, an information session was held for interested students which gave students the opportunity to get detailed information on both content and technical issues on the current Erasmus+ competitions.

 

It is worth mentioning that The Department of International Relations traditionally holds meetings for students every year to raise awareness of the international programs and opportunities that the university offers them.
