"I love Georgian - my state language" Summary event of Georgian language days

On April 4, at Caucasus University, a summarizing event of the Georgian language days was held, where the famous Georgian poet and folklorist, Professor Eter Tataraidze, was presented with the award established by Caucasus University - Supporter of the Georgian Language, which is given annually to well-known Kartvelologists or contributors to the implementation of outstanding ideas and promoters of the Georgian language.

 

The event was attended by: Nunu Mickiewicz - Head of the International Center for Education, Saulius Valainis - Deputy Ambassador of Lithuania to Georgia and other honored guests.

 

Within the framework of the event, an exhibition of calligraphic works by Davit Maisuradze and Giorgi Sisauri was organized; The presentation of the bilingual (Georgian-Ukrainian) collection of Eter Tataraidze's poems "ლექს ვარ ჯერაც გასაშიფრ" was held; The winning team in the spelling quiz was awarded - they were presented with gifts sent from the Parliament of Lithuania by Saulius Valainis, Deputy Ambassador of Lithuania to Georgia.

At the end of the event, the Caucasus University folklore ensemble held a demonstration concert.

 

From March 24 to April 4, on the initiative of Professor Mariam Manjgaladze and organized by the Caucasus University, various events were held within the Georgian language days. Among them: master class - "Art of calligraphy - journey from the past to the future", spelling quiz - "I write and speak fluent Georgian!", discussion – “Language and Dialect; Pearl of the Fereydan Dialect”; Creative dialogue: " Dialects - Tributaries joining the River " (example of Georgia and Ukraine).
