The project submitted by Caucasus University - Promoting High-quality Digital Education in Georgia is the winner of the Erasmus+ CBHE competition

The main goal of the project - Promoting High-quality Digital Education in Georgia (PRODIGE) is to promote digital higher education in Georgia by implementing relevant legislative changes and strengthening the capacities of higher educational institutions.

 

The three main components of the project are:

 

  1. Support of the Ministry of Education and Science in the process of reforming the policy of digital higher education and the recognition of digital education;
  2. Development of quality assurance mechanisms for digital higher education.
  3. Strengthening the capacity of higher education institutions in the field of digital learning.

 

Within the project, Georgian higher education institutions involved in the project will develop an individual strategic plan to ensure quality digital education, which will be fully in line with the best European standards. The project is planned as Digitalization of the learning / teaching component through trainings, workshops, study tours, methodologies, relevant training modules and study materials, as well as updating of the regulatory framework, legislative and quality assurance package, provided by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (NCEQE).

 

The project will help strengthen higher education institutions and regulatory bodies based on the best experience in Europe.

 

The project is supported by the National Center for Quality Enhancement of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, 10 Georgian universities, also, Associated Partners -Georgian Student Organizations Association,  Education Development and Employment Center (EDEC),  in addition to partner educational institutions from Belgium, Estonia, Spain and Croatia, as well as the project is supported by the Estonian Agency for Quality and an international accreditation and a universities network.

 

The project application was prepared as a structural reform project within the Erasmus+ 2024 competition. By financing these types of projects, the European Union contributes to the implementation of higher education reforms at the national level, in the priority areas of the Erasmus+ 2024 program. The project responds to the needs in the higher education sector at the national level in the direction of digital education.
