On May 23-25, President of Caucasus University and International Association of University Presidents (IAUP), Dr. Kakha Shengelia attended and addressed IAUP - AUAP Joint Conference in Xinzheng, Henan, China.

The Conference topic: Future Higher Education Model and Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Challenges. The conference was addressed by Presidents of San Diego, California, Arizona and other leading universities from around the world. Panel discussions were held on the significance and challenges of artificial intelligence.

The Conference - Future Higher Education Model and Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Challenges - was held in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Sias University.

The conference was attended by 70 presidents of 28 countries and 4 international associations- IAUP (International Association of University Presidents) AUAP (Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific), IAU (International Association of Universities) and WFUNA (World Federation of United Nations Associations).

The Conference opened on May 23 with a formal ceremony and ended on May 25. Memoranda of Cooperation were signed between the participant universities. In addition, meetings of IAUP Board of Directors and the Executive Committee were held in the framework of which IAUP President, Dr. Kakha Shengelia and Director General, Dr. Gerald Reisinger reported on the activities and performance of the organization as well as about the future events and plans.
