On February 3, the first online meeting of the IAUP Governing Board 2021 was held. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Kakha Shengelia, Chairman of the Board of the International Association of University Presidents.

  At the meeting, the board members discussed the current activities and future plans of the organization. Also, issues related to the transfer of the presidential mandate. International conferences are planned for the next three years in Colombia, Japan, Egypt and the United Kingdom.

 Dr. Shengelia was elected Chairman of the Board of the International Association of University Presidents by the IAUP General Assembly in August 2021.  He will chair the board for a three-year term.
