On October 13-16,  Kakha Shengelia, President of Caucasus University and President-Elect of International Association of University Presidents is attending the IAUP Semi-annual Meeting in Cape Town, South Africa. The Semi-annual meeting is hosted by Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) and Central University of Technology.

The sessions covered the following topics: Innovation and International Partnerships for Development; The Role of Science and Technology in addressing United Nations Sustainable Development Goals(SDG’s).

Dr. Shengelia presented the IAUP Action Plan for 2017-2020 Precedency.

The President of the Caucasus University was elected President-elect of the IAUP for 2014-2017 on June 14, 2014. In July, 2017, at the Assembly General in Vienna he will automatically be installed the President of the IAUP in 2017-2020 and will head the organization for the next three years.
