International Day for Prevention of Plagiarism and Academic Integrity

On 19 February, Caucasus University traditionally celebrated International Day for Prevention of Plagiarism and Academic Integrity.

 

The online meeting was organized by the Academic Writing Center on unethical use of AI generative tools. The participants shared their experiences with the audience. The participants were: Tamar Chokoraia, Professor, Head of the Academic Writing Center at CU, Eka Akobia, Dean of the school of Governance, Lela Abdushelishvili, Professor, Lecturer of Academic Writing course, Tengiz Verulava, Professor, Khatia Jangavadze, Professor, Lecturer of the Academic writing course, Nino Popiashvili, Professor, Lecturer of the Academic writing course.

 

The participants discussed the university regulation, as well as generative AI tools, in BA, MA and Ph.D. papers and courses mechanical use and gaps in the use of AI tools.

 

The online meeting had an interactive format, and the audience also shared their experiences. The Academic Writing center is planning to hold such meetings again to support the formation of a culture of ethical use of AI.
