On November 14-15, at Ivane Javakhishvili State University an international conference was held: EU, Central Asia and South Caucasus Countries, which included cooperation in answering challenges to science, technology development and innovation spheres for society. It included various priorities, and the "diversity and synergy between politics and methods." The event co organizers were project consortium members: Georgia's research and development foundation, Black Sea research International Centre ICBSS (Greece) and Germany's Education and international Bureau of Science federal Ministry's projects agency.

More than 100 international experts participated in Conference and those involved in determining science policy, among them were 70 foreign guests from Europe, Central Asia and South Caucasus countries.

Based on the main priorities of EU research and technology development future program "Horizon 2020", the conference theme included social and global challenges (climate change, health and energy) issues. Also there was discussed more use of efficient ways of neighborhood policy instruments in the field of research and technology development.
