On September 29-30, Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University hosted the Jean Monnet International Conference "Democracy, Rule of Law and Protection of Human Rights in the European Union".

Caucasus University and Gori State University Professor Ekaterine Kardava and Caucasus University Professor Guranda Chelidze presented a report at the plenary session of the conference on the topic: "The importance of the mandatory nature of European education in the policy of higher education of Georgia".

The speakers highlighted the importance of the results obtained in the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet projects implemented by them in recent years in terms of perfecting the educational policy and strengthening the European integration process. Representatives of 19 countries participated in the conference. Interesting discussions were held and new contacts were made.
