Jean Monnet Conference

On 12 June 2025, the scientific conference "Research the EU in favor of Georgia" was held at Caucasus University. The event was organized within the framework of the Jean Monnet Module "EUropeanisation of Law Programs in Georgia".

 

The conference was co-moderated by Professor Ekaterine Kardava, Coordinator of the Jean Monnet Module, and Professor Guranda Tchelidze, a professor of the Jean Monnet module.

 

The conference was opened by Akaki Kapanadze, Director of the Project Management Department at Caucasus University and prof. Teimuraz Khutsishvili, head of the Chair of Mathematics.

 

Academic presentations were delivered by professors and students from various schools of Caucasus University as well as from other higher education institutions, including the Caucasus School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Caucasus School of Economics, the Caucasus School of Medicine, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, and the Georgian-American University.

 

The presentations addressed a wide array of policies, laws, practices, and strategies implemented within the European Union across various domains. Each contribution aimed to enrich the Georgian academic discourse with new knowledge and to foster a nuanced and accurate understanding of the European Union.

 

The conference proceedings were structured into three sessions and concluded with a final summarizing segment. The event was attended by 73 persons (62 female, 11 male).

 

Conference speakers were awarded a digital certificate.
