Dr. Kakha Shengelia, the President of International Association of University Presidents and Caucasus University is attending the joint conference of IAUP and AUAP, which is held in Zhengzhou, China, within the 20th anniversary of Sias University.

The theme of the conference is: "Future Model of Higher Education and Artificial Intelligence, Opportunities and Challenges". During the conference the presidents of San Diego, California, Arizona and other leading universities will speak about the topic. There will also be a few panel discussions about the importance of artificial intelligence and its challenges.

The conference is attended by 70 presidents from 28 countries as well as leaders of 4 international associations: IAUP (International Association of University Presidents); AUAP (International Association of Asian and Pacific Universities); IAU (International Association of Universities) and WFUNA (World Federation of United Nations Associations).

The conference was opened on May 23 with an official ceremony and will end on May 25. A memorandum of cooperation between participating universities is planned to be signed within the scope of the event. Also, meetings of IAUP Managing Board and Executive Committee will be conducted, in the frameworks of which IAUP President, Dr. Kakha Shengelia, and Secretary General, Mr. Gerald Reisinger, will report on the activities of the organization and talk about planned events and future plans.
