By the decision of the Academic Council of Samtskhe-Javakheti State University, the President of Caucasus University was awarded the title of Honorary Doctor of Samtskhe-Javakheti State University and received the University Medal.
Dr. Kakha Shengelia was awarded the title of Honorary Doctor for his outstanding contribution to the development of Samtskhe-Javakheti State University.
The ceremony was attended by members of the Governing Board of Samtskhe-Javakheti State University and Caucasus University, who addressed the audience and spoke about the importance of Dr. Shengelia's activities.
The rector of Samtskhe-Javakheti State University, Irma Beridze, spoke about the great contribution that Dr. Kakha Shengelia has made to the education system of the region and assessed the importance of the activities he has made in educating the youth.
