On September 26, Caucasus University celebrated the European Day of Languages as per tradition.
This year, the guest speaker, Free University professor Lali Ezugbaya, gave a talk on the social status and functions of the Georgian language.
The event was moderated by Caucasus University professor Mariam Manjgaladze, who highlighted the multifaceted public role of language and discussed the Council of Europe's targeted policy on preserving linguistic diversity. She also led a discussion with the participation of students.
