Mariam Tarasashvili’s PHD thesis defense at the CSG

On February 7, Caucasus School of Governance held the defense of Mariam Tarasashvili’s PHD thesis, International Relations PHD program at the Caucasus School of Governance.

 

The PHD candidate presented her thesis on “The Influence of the Recipient Country on the Development of the Strategy of Democracy Promotion of the Donor Country: the example of USA and Ukraine”. Academic supervisor, Professor Dr. Eka Akobia.

 

The defense of the thesis was attended by the members of the Dissertation Commission:

 

  • Korneli Kakachia – Professor, Tbilisi State University;
  • Emir Eteria - Professor, Chair of the doctoral defense commission;
  • Giorgi Tskhadaia - Professor, Caucasus School of Governance;
  • Nana Pirthkhelani - Associate Professor, Caucasus School of Governance;
  • Giorgi Muchaidze - Associate Professor, Caucasus School of Governance;
  • Sergi kapanadze – Program Supervisor, Professor.

 

Doctoral candidate presented her thesis and answered the questions of the defense commission. Reviewers of the thesis Pikria Asanishvili, Assoc. Professor of Tbilisi State University and Prof. Giorgi Nodia of Ilia  State University, presented their reviews of the thesis, which was followed up by answers from the candidate and then the academic discussion was opened to the presiding public.

 

According to the evaluation of the thesis defense commission, Mariam Tarasashvli successfully defended her thesis and was awarded a degree of PHD in International Relations.
