Meeting Between the Caucasus University Green Tourism Hub and the European School

22 April 2026

On April 16, 2026, as part of the stakeholder engagement series of the Caucasus University Green Tourism Hub, a meeting was held with representatives of the European School: Ana Chakhnashvili (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (DP) Coordinator), Nino Sachaleli (International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (CP) Coordinator), and David Kbilashvili (Head of the DP and CP Programmes).

During the meeting, the representatives of the European School were introduced to the objectives and planned activities of the Green Tourism Hub. The main purpose of the meeting was to explore opportunities for offering training programmes in green tourism and service design for IB students.

Particular emphasis was placed on the alignment between the IB programme’s focus on practical learning and sustainable development and the core objectives of the Hub. In this context, the development of tailored training courses for students was discussed, which could be delivered both during the academic year and in the form of summer camps.

The parties agreed to continue their collaboration. The Green Tourism Hub also plans to expand its cooperation with other IB schools in order to promote knowledge sharing in the field of sustainable tourism and to support the development of practical skills among young people.

The Green Tourism Hub was established on September 30, 2025, at Caucasus University within the framework of the ERASMUS+ CBHE programme ENRICHER Hubs project - “Designing Green Tourism Concept through Learning“.

The Hub represents an innovative space within the Caucasus School of Tourism, equipped with the latest technological and academic resources. The aim of the Hub is to introduce innovative teaching approaches in the field of sustainable tourism, implement service design methods in practice, and raise awareness about sustainable tourism.

Additionally, the Hub seeks to connect stakeholders from the tourism sector, academia, and students in order to collaboratively address existing challenges in the sustainable tourism sector and implement joint projects.
