On October 31, the presentation of the new Jean Monnet module (2023-2026) - "Empowering women in cyber security through EU experience - WISEC ACADEMY” - was held in Caucasus University.
The meeting was chaired by: Professor Maksim Iavich, Head of the Cyber Security Direction, Director of the Cyber Security Center; Archili Shengelia, main cyber security specialist at Cyber Security Center; PhD Giorgi Akhalaia, main cyber security specialist at Cyber Security Center; Sergei Simonovi, main cyber security specialist at Cyber Security Center.
Irena Melua, Vice-President for Internationalization at Caucasus University, and Nino Lortkipanidze, Women in Tech Regional Director for Caucasus & Central Asia, welcomed the audience with a speech.
Speakers presented the following thematic presentations at the event:
- New Jean Monnet Module Presentation: Empowering women in cyber security through EU experience - WISEC ACADEMY. Project goals, specification and study program features;
- Importance of GDPR and data protection education in Georgia based on EU Studies in the frame of WISEC Academy;
- Penetration testing. European practices;
- Target audience for WISEC Academy and activities for each category;
- The expected impact and outcomes of the project.
The audience had the opportunity to get comprehensive answers to important and interesting questions in the event's final segment.
