Official opening of the joint short-term program of the Johannesburg University and the Caucasus University

A group of student researchers from the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality of the University of Johannesburg, South Africa, is visiting Caucasus University from June 28 to July 6.

 

As part of the visit, an official opening ceremony was held at Caucasus University on June 30. Ketevan Karbaia, Director of the Caucasus International Relations Department, delivered a presentation during the event, introducing the representatives of the partner university to the history and achievements of Caucasus University.

 

During the program, on the first day, a lecture on the topic: “Geography and History of Georgia” was organized by the Caucasus Tourism School, led by Lali Okroshidze, a lecturer at the same school. It is worth noting that the program includes cultural events, within the framework of which students will visit various regions of Georgia and conduct research on the spot.

 

The meeting traditionally ended with a campus tour, which gave the students the opportunity to get to know the university's infrastructure and environment firsthand.

 

The University of Johannesburg is one of the leading universities in the Southern African region. Such activities significantly contribute to the deepening of existing cooperation and support for new initiatives between universities.
