An auditorium honoring Otar Chedia, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences and Professor, was officially inaugurated at Caucasus University.

The ceremony was attended by the President of Caucasus University, Kakha Shengelia, members of the university administration, Professor Chedia’s family, colleagues, and invited guests. In his address, Kakha Shengelia reflected on Professor Chedia’s distinguished academic career, his professional integrity, and his enduring impact on the university community. Family members and guests also shared heartfelt remarks, recalling his scholarly achievements, personal qualities, and significant contribution to the development of Caucasus University.

Professor Chedia was actively involved in teaching and research at CU since 1998. He was a key contributor to the establishment of the school of theoretical astrophysics in Georgia and the author of numerous scientific publications. In January 2013, he was awarded the Order of Honor in recognition of his outstanding service.
